Calling Out The Media

yeah, we’re talking to you!

Agent Provocateur’s new ad. Is it sexist? Is it hot?

Finally there’s a movie for African American audiences without weird focuses on race and / or Tyler Perry. Its characters are literate, successful people. Shocker, a lot of people wanted to see this. However…

One scarcely knows where to begin with this headline. Sometimes, I think my job is to find things in the news that are the most likely to make me Hulk-Hogan-style flip my coffee table.

After I posted last week’s column about threesome’s and how Charlie and I have navigated the waters of non-monogamy, I got some interesting feedback. A friend commented that he, “didn’t buy it.”

A young actress in Los Angeles meets Paris Hilton, never recovers.

Yes, Brad and Angie are engaged. And for a split second this somehow softens my viewpoint of them. Because, to-date whenever I see their faces on the tabloids I am overcome with feelings of general malaise and a thought track of “shut-up, shut-up.”

Maybe you already saw this, because it was the most-read article in the New York Times this weekend. Interesting. Kinda the do’s & don’ts of living together.

What happens when you are alone, single, and there is no one to fill the void? How do you sleep at night? How do you persevere, alone?

Are YOU driven crazy by unrealistic and harmful cultural stereotypes forced on women?

Maybe you’re like me and have seen the ads for The Client List, Lifetime’s new drama that airs Sunday night, April 8th.

Maybe, also, you’re like me and whenever you see a picture of Jennifer Love Hewitt you throw up a wee bit.

Technology and media are soft. They are human. They are, at this point, inexorable with emotional experience.

You definitely feel like this on your period, right? A collection of the Internet’s personal best.
