In a rant that we can only assume was supposed to be funny, one woman misses the entire point of living in a post-dating world.
The beauty of our strange and ambiguous era is that we can connect with anyone, anywhere, anytime. No dates or awkward phone conversations needed. We can open ourselves up to anything – because everything and nothing is a date these days.
That potential for spontaneous connection can even (especially) include those moments when we are hanging out, unprimped and unprepared, in a coffee shop. You know, those moments when we’re actually being ourselves, notably minus some of the bells, whistles and walls behind which we tend to hide.
Unless you’re this girl – in which case, we say…what are you talking about?!
Here’s an unfortunate example of why many men think that all women are overanalytical, illogical and, well, crazy. Now, please excuse us while we stop what we’re doing to go get our “faces” on (not). (Jezebel)

Seriously. She’s off her rocker. What if ‘cute guy in cafe’ was a gay? She seems like a different version of the girl who equates having collegiate sports at a university with date-rape. Can I say something in all caps? Yes. NOT ALL MEN ARE TRYING TO HAVE SEX WITH *YOU* ALL THE TIME. Sometimes when someone isn’t wearing makeup and ‘looking like crap,’ people smile at them to show they are a human. *duh*
I don’t follow why this girl is so upset, I agree with MajorMajor, she is clearly off her rocker. I consider it a huge compliment if a guy finds me attractive, when I may not be looking my best. As the lovely Marilyn Monroe once said “if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best”. Cute guy at coffee shop you can smile at me any day!
